More than one million people across Australia and New Zealand have been implicated in a data breach after attackers exploited an unpatched vulnerability in tutoring platform Mathspace, according to the company.

Mathspace disclosed that unauthorised parties accessed an internal reporting system and downloaded records including names, email addresses and user IDs on 1,079,819 students, parents, teachers and staff members on September 3, Cyber Daily reports.
