Detectives arrested a 39-year-old man on Tuesday over an alleged data breach and leak of intimate images involving a former CFMEU member, Victoria Police said.

The Taylors Lakes man was interviewed and released pending further inquiries after officers seized a mobile phone, two conducted energy devices and knuckledusters from his home.

Specialist Cybercrime Squad detectives and Taskforce Hawk officers are investigating the matter following an initial report made to police on June 25, Mirage News reports.
