Ukraine's Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko resigned on Monday following an anti-corruption investigation into officials accused of accepting bribes to protect fraudulent call centers from law enforcement. Investigators allege that since mid-2025, officials inside the Prosecutor General's Office collected bribes in exchange for shielding scam operations that targeted victims in Ukraine and abroad.

Kravchenko hasn't been charged and has denied protecting the call centers, saying his resignation was a political decision. Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau has named 5 suspects in the case, including detained senior official Serhii Kropyva, who anti-corruption prosecutors described as a trusted associate of Kravchenko, The Record reports.
