Ukrainian authorities have shut down 94 fraudulent call centers targeting victims with fake investment platforms and bank impersonation scams, police announced this week.

Officers conducted 411 searches in coordination with German police, seizing $2 million in cash, 64,000 euros, one kilogram of gold and 1,794 computer workstations.

Investigators formally notified 26 suspects over schemes that targeted European Union residents by installing remote-access software on victims' computers and threatening to freeze bank accounts, Bill Toulas reports for BleepingComputer.
