Police in Sydney seized luxury goods worth over $2.5 million from a man who allegedly posed as a lawyer in a property scam, The Age reports.

Officers raided the 51-year-old suspect's Potts Point apartment around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, confiscating 60 luxury watches and more than 100 pieces of jewellery.

The man allegedly defrauded six people of more than $650,000 between March 2023 and June by creating false financial and legal documents, according to NSW Police.

He was charged with 30 offences, including 14 counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception, and is due to face court on Wednesday.
