A Palestinian was shot and wounded by IDF troops Friday as Israeli settlers entered the outskirts of Nablus in the northern West Bank, clashing with Palestinians near the site of a gunfight that killed two Israelis and four Palestinians a week earlier, the Times of Israel reports.

The IDF said troops opened fire after Palestinians hurled stones at soldiers in the area, striking what it described as a "main instigator." The Palestinian Red Crescent said a young man was shot in the abdomen during what it called "an Israeli army and settler raid" on the al-Juneid area near Tell village. Settlers also reportedly vandalized a cemetery in the Nablus area during the march, which was not approved by the military but proceeded as troops were deployed to monitor and disperse the gathering.
