Greg Sadler, CEO of Good Ancestors

Greg Sadler warned that the power grid's reliance on millions of ageing and legacy devices created a vulnerability that could be exploited by multiple AI agents in coordinated attacks.

When asked about the potential damage, Sadler said:

“In a worst-case scenario something like access to these batteries or solar panels could be used to destabilize the power grid and potentially cause cascading blackouts”

He said such risks would have been hard to conceive of two years ago but needed to be understood now as AI capabilities advanced.
